Jodi Drennan
Jodi Drennan (Vice President) is a lifelong resident of Jersey City and a graduate of Saint Peter’s College. She has lived on the West Side for the last 20 years. She encourages everyone to come to live, work and play on the West Side, Jersey City’s best side!
John J. Hallanan Jr.
John J. Hallanan Jr. (Treasurer) is a past President and current member of The Lincoln Association of JC, the Elks Lodge 211 Jersey City, KofC St. Peter’s University, MENSA, Jr. Vice Cmdr. Veterans Corps 69th Infantry, and is a member of the Hudson County History Advocates. John holds a BA in History from Rutgers University.
Stephen Stamos
Stephen Stamos (Secretary) is an alumnus of Saint Peter’s College with a degree in Business Administration. On the New York Stock Exchange, he was a Trading Floor Supervisor and later an analyst in Market Surveillance. He serves on two Juvenile Conference Committees which seek to resolve minor violations of the law, and also serves in a number of volunteer organizations.
Charlene Burke
Charlene Burke (President) is a local civic leader in the West Side community. In 2007 she envisioned the expansion of the small Boyd-McGuiness park and persuaded JC to include the community in its re-design. Today’s half-acre park has a stage, toddler play and spray grounds and raised garden beds for senior participation. The establishment of the West Bergen-East Lincoln Park Historic District began with Charlene writing the grant pro-bono for JC. As of 2015 it is listed on the Municipal, State and Federal Registers of Historic Places. In 2011, Charlene introduced “THE BIG DIG” to the Parks Coalition, and with support from Sponsors and JC, and hard work from the members and the public, won a National Make a Difference Day award including a $10,000 prize its first year. Charlene is a long time resident of the West Side.
Mei Yeung
Mei Yeung (Board Member) is an owner of Halftime Bar and Grill on West Side Avenue, one of the avenue’s most successful restaurants. She has been an enthusiastic and supportive member of her new community since she arrived here in 2017.
Elizabeth Goldstein
Elizabeth Goldstein (Board member) is an Educator in New York City. She is a transplant to NJ and has been a resident of the West Side for the past 8 years. The West Side Is The Best Side is her motto.
